Hello! This is Lauren bringing in Spock from Star Trek! Specifically, he is from Star Trek Discovery, before his time in the original series and while he is still serving under Captain Pike. He's just lost a close family member and he's still very much struggling to reconcile a lot of things between his human and Vulcan halves.

He's a very impassive person most of the time, so I hope that the empathy bond will allow for some of his emotions to be plainly shared, even when he wouldn't normally express them on purpose. He is also a touch-based telepath and while he's not looking to casually dip into everyone's minds, the empathy bond could certainly mess with his control on that if anyone wants to play around with that sort of thing.

Hey, gang! I'm Carly, player of Wynonna Earp and Finn and bringing to you none other than Yennefer of Vengerberg as played by the level 10 stunner Anya Chalotra on Netflix's TV adaptation of The Witcher. The lowdown on her is that she's an incredibly ambitious and powerful sorceress, a lot older than she looks thanks to the aforementioned powers, and has a particular entanglement with one (1) Geralt of Rivia. (If their relationship was a Facebook status, it'd be It's Complicated.)

Yennefer will be arriving in-game after the events of The Witcher Season 2, and if anyone wants me to steer clear of spoilers for the time being I'm happy to do that in our threads! For various reasons, she and Geralt are even more on the outs than usual, so her presence will no doubt contribute to even more of that witcher's sulking around the Danae (with the two of them exchanging a lot of terse conversations that will likely be broken up by meetings influenced by various planets). I'll be flinging her into the January mini-event, and happy to plot various interactions with folks!

i won't get into too much since he's post season 2 so there's spoilers there but just know he's old af, grumpy, stabby, and he's going to be TOTALLY out of his element because what the fuck is space.

Hi all! This is Bri, finally bringing in a second character. Meet Jesse Faden, from the video game Control (And the Greater Remedy Universe)! She's a young woman who ended up going to The Federal Bureau of Control thanks to the Resonance Being who is connected to her and talks to her in her head, picks up a murder weapon... and ends up the director of a top secret organization dedicated to the finding and research of the strange and unusual.

(That's the vaguest sort of gist of the beginning of the game. It's amazing you should all play it! ~~Especially because it's interconnected with Alan Wake and Alan Wake 2 is coming out next year!~~)

But yes! She picked up a "gun" ~~because it's more than just a gun~~ and ended up in charge. And has ended up accumulating a whole lot of nifty powers. She can levitate and telekinetically throw all sorts of shit around, and pull said "gun" out of nowhere (An in-depth post about them is up in her journal!) She was currently in the midst of dealing with Some Problems ~~named The Hiss~~ when she found her way onto the ship. So it's going to be fun!

Hi friends! SSK here (your local Zari Tarazi and Dolores Abernathy) with her third character, Sersi from Marvel's Eternals. She's just an immortal being that really loves humans and learning new cultures and all that jazz. Works as a history professor at the london museum in her civilian time. Can turn one form of matter into another (that bus into flower petals for example... or dirt into water... or water into wine if she's tired of waiting for a waiter to take her order).

She's just been through a pretty rough time, but that won't stop her from trying to dote on everyone she can.

tommy's story is that he wanted henry golding to be his boyfriend except henry golding was too obsessed with revenge to notice and the heartbreak turned him evil. so now he's permanently angry with the world. how dare you not kiss him henry golding.

Hi all! I'm Drea, former player of Susan Pevensie and Archie Kennedy, now returning to Ad Astra with one Lieutenant William Bush from the Hornblower series and one Giddon from the Graceling Realm.

William (or Bill/Billiam, as I often affectionately call him) is a dutiful, loyal man who has the dubious (to me) pleasure (to him) of being the first lieutenant of one Captain Horatio Hornblower. He is best described as "steady." He's coming from a point in his canon when he recently lost a part of his right leg, and is recovering from that injury in hiding in France. He'll probably have a lot of very quiet existential crises about what it means to not have his whole life dedicated to serving the Navy. He'll probably also have even quieter existential crises about who's looking after his mother/sisters while he's here. Someone tell him to take a nap and take care of himself for a while.

Giddon is also the protective type, but in a much more expressive fashion. He's a former nobleman turned into a renegade spy who has actively overthrown two monarchies. He abhors corruption in people in power, and even when he still had his estates, always took care of his own and made sure they were treated well. Before working with the Council that he does now, he used to work as an enforcer for his King and has spent the rest of his life trying to atone for that. He's very caring and kind. Someone should talk about caring for the disenfranchised while overthrowing corrupt systems with him. Someone should also tell him to go take a nap and take care of himself.

Archie's a delightful young man; picture a golden retriever and that's pretty much him, bar his pretty horrific past trauma and his tendency to get caught up him panicking and lose all control every now and then. Once he gets over the initial shock of being on a space ship, he's going to be curious about every single thing and every single person, and will try to learn everything in exchange for lessons on Why Shakespeare Is Great. ~~Also he's a bisexual disaster and would like to make out with everyone, please allow this he's from 1803 so he has a lot of catching up to do~~.

hi everyone!!

i'm thea and bringing you lan wangji from The Untamed/Chén Qíng Lìng. he's an extremely skilled cultivator with many talents, which include glaring people at people, chopping off appendages, playing melancholic music for his "friend" who is dead (but also not dead after a point), and helping people deal with ghosts and the supernatural. i'm pulling him from the first episode, very beginning of the show, so he doesn't know&— well, the actual events that happen to him after (such as the return of his friend and the plot of the series). he's very straightforward and laconic, can be short with people, but has a soft spot for cute animals (especially rabbits) and children.

Hello! I'm Colleen (or Col), a new player, and I bring Zoya Nazyalensky of the Grishaverse. Her canon point is King of Scars when she and Nikolai are stuck in a weird pocket dimension. Zoya is the General of the Grisha army, and she is a Squaller which means she can summon wind and lightning. She is really protective and fierce, although everything she feels very deeply is also very well hidden. Ice heart wrapped in thorns.

This post bundles a few ooc updates for you all that we're pretty excited about:

NPCs in general, dinos in particular
As announced, the recent holo-magic-anomaly mishap means a dinosaur will somehow come to life. All your submissions were adorable and making choices is hard, so instead of just one dino-npc, there will be two!!

Meet Tuktuk (short for Turkey) and Bucket. You can read more about them and their respective personalities on the revamped NPC page (formerly Perseus's inbox, now Perseus's inbox + a general NPC page.)

Crew quarters
Perseus made an announcement about crew quarters. From the modly side of things, we're expanding the number of beds available and introducing new tech (thanks, Batman) to ensure privacy. You can read more about how the tech functions HERE and as always the gdoc for beds is HERE.

We'd also like to stress that ALL unclaimed beds are open to everyone, including the second spaces in family/double rooms. Empty beds can't be reserved for potential future characters to the detriment of current ones and folks don't have to ask (oocly) to make a new character someone's roommate - pls make use of these opportunities for cr! ♥

Settings page
While we were at it, we also updated the SETTINGS PAGE with some additional info on things that are not new, such as the food and supply fabricators and the kitchen situation. Have a look!
